Frequently Asked Questions

What do they contain?

Please see product listings for specific ingredients. However, all kits have a wholegrain flour base, and contain other ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, oats and freeze dried fruit. There are no meat or dairy ingredients in our kits.

All ingredients are human grade and are sourced from accredited manufacturers in the UK.

The kits also contain a bone shaped cookie cutter.

Are they suitable for puppies and adults?

Our products are suitable for dogs of all ages.

My dog has food allergies – are these products suitable?

These products contain gluten. If your dog is sensitive to gluten, these products will not be suitable. Equally, if you have somebody who is gluten intolerant at home, please be sensitive to this.

For other allergies and intolerances, please check the ingredients on each product.

If in any doubt please consult your vet or do not buy.

Do I need any other ingredients?

Yes. 2 eggs and a splash of water.

Can I add other ingredients?

Yes. You can add modest amounts of other ingredients whilst you are making the dough. For example:

Mashed sweet potato (2 – 4 heaped tablespoons per batch)

Grated carrots (2 – 4 heaped tablespoons per batch)

Peanut butter (100% peanut) (2 tablespoons per batch)

Grated cheese (1 – 2 tablespoons of grated cheese per batch, if your dog is fine with cheese)

Please note that additional ingredients will add moisture to the dough. Ttherefore you will need to bake the biscuits for slightly longer and at a slightly lower temperature, to ensure the moisture is baked out.

How long do they last?

Our cookie kits and the process for baking them should result in a cookies which, after cooling, are dry and ‘crisp. They should have a nice ‘snap’ if broken, If so, your cookies will last 6+ months in an airight contianer.

The ingredients do not contain preservatives so it is important to note that if they are not baked as described above, they will retain moisture and quickly spoil.

All ovens are different. If they are soft after cooling, return them to the oven and bake for longer.

Please get in touch if you need more help.

Do I need to make them all at once?

No.

However for the sake of ease it is suggested that you make all the dough at once.

Freeze what you do not need in an airtight container. The dough will last 6 months. Defrost before use.
